This page explains how to have your DIY Electronics account and your data deleted. You can delete your account even if you can no longer use the app on your phone.

1. Deleting in the app

1. Open the app and sign in with your Google account.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account and the data below are deleted at once.

2. Asking by email

If you cannot reach the app, send an email with the subject «DIY Electronics account deletion» to mert.yesilbas.888@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in to the app with. If you write from another address, we need to confirm the account is yours. Your request is carried out within 30 days at the latest and you are told by email.

3. Data that is deleted

• Your account: your name, email address and the link to your profile photo
• Your inventory, project progress, notes, saved projects and badges
• Community projects you shared, photos you uploaded and your "I built it too" photos
• Your comments, likes, difficulty votes and the reports you made
• Your notifications and device notification tokens
• Records of your shopping links and discount codes, and the record of the days you used the app

4. Data that is kept, and for how long

After deletion, no data linked to your account is used. Your data remains in the server's nightly backups for at most 14 more days; these backups are encrypted, are used only to rebuild the system after a failure, and are deleted automatically after 14 days. The like and comment counts other users see are updated without your share.
